Partnership of OCNS and Frontiers in Computational Neurosciences
The purpose of the OCNS
Is to create a scientific and educational forum for everyone to learn about, to share, to contribute, and to advance the state of knowledge in computational neuroscience.
- Computational neuroscience combines mathematical analysis and computer simulations with experimental neuroscience, to develop a mechanistic principled understanding of how the working of nervous systems function and apply it in a wide range of technologies
- OCNS promotes meetings and courses in computational neuroscience. and OCNS organizes the Annual CNS meeting which serves as a forum for young scientists at every career stage and offers young scientists exceptional opportunities to present their work and to interact with senior leaders in the field.
Submit a Research Topic idea to Frontiers in Computational Neuroscience
Are you passionate about a specific area of computational neuroscience? Submit your idea and become a Topic Editor of an OCNS Research Topic — a collaborative article collection hosted by Frontiers in Computational Neuroscience.
Who can become a Topic Editor? Researchers who have completed a PhD are eligible to edit a Research Topic in Frontiers in Computational Neuroscience.
If you have not completed a PhD but are interested in a Topic Coordinator role, you are also welcome to complete this form. The role is similar to a Topic Editor position, but you will not handle manuscripts during peer review.
Why host a Research Topic? By leading one of our expert-led article collections, you will benefit from:
- A free editorial article
- A full APC waiver dedicated to your Research Topic (specific advantage if you edit an OCNS society led collection)
- Networking and collaboration with experts in your field
- A downloadable eBook summarizing your Topic (when 10+ articles are published)
We are especially keen to receive proposals from OCNS members who want to help advance the field of computational neuroscience.
