CNS*2024 Natal: Call for WorkshopsNatal, Rio Grande do Norte (Brazil), July 20-24, 2024
Workshop proposal submission instructions for CNS*2024Workshops will take place during the last two days (23rd and 24th of July, 2024) of the 33rd Annual Computational Neuroscience Meeting. Although several speakers can be invited to introduce a unifying theme in each workshop, ample time for discussion should be planned. Please note that the workshops for CNS*2024 will follow a new format that started with CNS*2023. All workshops will be hosted in person at Natal. The final events of the main meeting and the first workshops will overlap on the 23rd of July to enable maximum participation. The last day of the meeting, the 24th of July is reserved for workshops. Speakers are encouraged to participate in person, however, a few "virtual" talks per workshop can be accommodated based on circumstances. The duration of a workshop could range from 0.5 days (one session lasting 3.5 hours) to 1.5 days (three half-day sessions). Half-day workshops will be preferentially scheduled on the 23rd of July. They will, therefore, offer an opportunity to attract a wider audience still present for the main meeting. Workshop organizers are also required to specify their preferred time slot (e.g. the afternoon of the 23rd of July, the morning of the 24th of July etc.), in Natal local time (Brasilia Time). Preferred time slots, the number of confirmed speakers and a balance of speakers in terms of gender, geography and career level are key selection criteria. Please submit workshop proposals in PDF format using the template at the bottom of the page with the subject line : [CNS*2024] Workshop Proposal: <Title> to workshops AT cnsorg.org. Please name your proposal file as "[CNS*2024] Workshop Proposal <Main Organiser>. The Past Meetings page archives a list of workshops held at previous CNS meetings.
Submission deadline: Workshop proposals submitted by the 19th of February, 2024 (11:59 EST), will receive full consideration. Workshop proposals submitted after the 19th of February, 2024 will be evaluated based on available spots for additional workshops. Registration and waivers: Workshop registration will take place through the OCNS registration website for CNS*2024.All workshop participants, including organisers and speakers, must register. Each workshop is eligible to receive one waiver (0.5-day and 1-day workshops) or two waivers (1.5-day workshops). Waivers are for workshop registration and can be used by speakers or organizers.
