CNS 2009
July 18th – 23rd 2009, Berlin, Germany
Local organizer: Dr. Udo Ernst (
local@cnsorg.org),
Dr. John-Dylan Haynes, Dr. Andreas Herz

CNS 2009 will consist of three days of main meeting (Sunday-Tuesday) followed by two days of workshops (Wednesday-Thursday). A welcome reception will be held on the evening of July 18th and the scientific program will start on July 19th in the morning.

The main meeting will be held in the Hilton Hotel in central Berlin, overlooking the historic Gendarmenmarkt, in immediate vicinity of such famous landmarks as the Brandenburg Gate, the Parliament, the Museum Island, and remnants of the Berlin Wall with the notorious border station "Checkpoint Charlie". Berlin is also home to several universities with a vivid student life. The city hosts a large neuroscientific community within its "Bernstein Center for Computational Neuroscience" funded by the BMBF (the Ministry for Education and Research), which is also sponsoring the CNS*2009 meeting.

The workshops will be held in the Berlin-Brandenburg Academy of Sciences located on the opposite side of the Gendarmenmarkt. One main focus will be on Neuroinformatics, featuring a symposium sponsored by the INCF National Node of Germany.
