Getting There

Travel to Berlin is easy, even if you are an interstellar hitchhiker from another galaxy. Berlin has two airports with many regular flights to all important European hubs, and many direct connections to cities all over in Europe.

In addition, Berlin has excellent high-speed train connections to long-distance destinations in Europe, and a dense network of public transportation within and into the outskirts of Berlin (fast train and bus connections every 10-20 mins. to the airports, subway/tram/bus lines with intervals of 3-10 minutes on all lines). For getting around in Berlin, see also the public transportation web portal [http://www.bvg.de/index.php/en/Bvg/Start].

Attractions and Sightseeing

Berlin has many attractions, and it is nearly impossible to mention them all – the city features over 175 museums, has a very vibrant night life and offers countless cultural highlights. Below a sketch of the monuments in the immediate vicinity of the CNS*2009. For further information, please have a look at the official web page of the city of Berlin.
